Hi Gorgeouses! Expat EJ here, comin’ atcha from sunny Singapore!!
For the Accor Hotels competition, I’m going to tell you my three favourite things about this city. My complete list has 143 things, but I’ll save the rest for when the Singapore Tourism Board contacts me. (STB babeses!! Why haven’t you called me yet?!)
I. Yī, Satu, One!
Even though it’s actually kinda located in Asia, Singapore is the perfect balance of a whole lotta East and a whole lotta West. There’s also a touch of other-worldiness in the mix… That’s why, atmospherically, it’s so good for my chi, and I totes love that about the place. You will too. In the unlikely event that you don’t believe me, here’s photographic evidence:
II. Èr, Dua, Two!!
Number two on my love list of favourite things is the diversity, and I’m going to illustrate this point through the medium of stuff you can ingest.
You can breakfast on Orchard Road at Sacha & Sons, down a dosa in Little India for your elevenses, chomp chili crab at a hawker centre for lunch, take in the amazebobs views from Sky on 57 at Marina Bay Sands for an aperitif, and then go all out glorious at the Tippling Club for dinner.
In between the eats and drinks, you can check out the gazillion galleries, bust an ethnic chill in Haji Lane or Tiong Bahru, get your hike on at Macritchie Reservoir, catch some rays at the beach, shop your socks off pretty much anywhere, chat with lovely Singaporeans… OMG, the list is endless. If you still have time left after all that, drop by my place on the iconic Emerald Hill Road, and me and my Expaterati crew will take you for a city tour in my open top Maserati*.
III. Sān, Tiga, Three!!!
Lastly but no ways leastest, I <3 that it’s Singapore’s 50th birthday this year, so now is an awesome time to be here. The whole year is one mahusiv birthday party! Place years are like reverse dog years, which means that 50 is the equivalent of a gorgeous 22-year-old uber hawtie in dude years.
That’s Singapore, babeses! The hot Lion City. Come get yourself a piece of the roooooooar!!
EJ x
